About Us
RSPCA Cymru has a dedicated public affairs and media team to liaise with external stakeholders such as members of the Senedd | Welsh Parliament, Welsh Government and Local Authorities. We routinely provide up to date political briefings and reports, and work across Party lines to improve standards of animal welfare across Wales.
There are approximately 30 RSPCA Inspectors operating across Wales, broken down into three Inspectorate Groups in South Wales; Mid & West and North Wales. The Inspectorate provide 24-hour care for animals in need; investigating cruelty complaints, giving help and advice on animal care, carrying out rescues and, where necessary, bringing perpetrators of cruelty to court. Many politicians have experienced, first hand, their work by undertaking Ride-Along Days.
RSPCA Cymru also operates two Animal Centres in Wales - at Bryn-Y-Maen and Newport, whilst a Branch operates an independent Centre in Swansea.
